The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking Volunteer Community Educators to deliver education programs within the seven counties served by the Hudson Valley Chapter: Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Putnam, Westchester and Rockland.
Alzheimer's Association Community Educators (AACEs) are volunteer public speakers who help raise awareness, provide education and expand the reach of Alzheimer's Association programs in the community. AACEs deliver Alzheimer’s Association Core Curriculum using prepared training materials on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias as well as information for individuals and families impacted by the disease.
Volunteers will enhance their knowledge of this worthy cause, sharpen their public speaking techniques, and serve their local communities by providing them with important information. We are looking for self-motivated individuals that are comfortable networking, collaborating with staff, volunteers and community partners, and reaching out to individuals and families in need and connecting them to the Alzheimer's Association.
Due to Covid-19, all program volunteers will provide Alzheimer's Association educational programs using telephonic or virtual platforms. No in-person programs or services are being held in compliance with CDC social distancing guidelines.
